We’ve been pining for these organic pine nuts! They have a mild nutty flavor that is perfect for snacking, baking and cooking. Enjoy our raw pine nuts tossed over salads, in soups or mixed with trail mix. They’re also great for making pesto sauce. Our organic pine nuts are certified by CCOF.
Health Benefits:
Snacking on organic pine nuts is not only delicious but really healthy too! These smooth nuts are packed with oleic acid, the same monounsaturated fat that earned olive oil its super good-for-you status. Oleic acid may lower harmful cholesterol levels and improve heart health. If you’re watching your weight, snacking on organic pine nuts is a great option because they contain appetite-suppressing pinolenic acid. A single one-ounce serving of raw pine nuts also offers plenty of protein, iron, vitamins and minerals, so snack away!
Roasting Tips:
Organic pine nuts are ready to eat and use straight out of the bag, but you can also roast them to get that bold pine nutty flavor.
To bake pine nuts in the oven, spread them out on a baking tray and toast them at 325-degrees F for 5-10 minutes. Shake them every few minutes to ensure they become evenly golden on all sides.
To roast them over the stovetop, warm the pine nuts over medium-low heat for just a few minutes, until they are lightly brown. Be careful not to over-roast them because these little nuts heat up really fast!
