Dark and plum #1 grade Organic Rye Berries. These are triple cleaned under organic conformity. Organic rye berries can be cooked as a hearty breakfast cereal or ground in your own mill for the freshest rye flour available. Rye can also be sprouted to use in salads and on sandwiches.
How to Cook Rye Berries
Ingredients: 1/2 cup rinsed rye berries, 1 3/4 cup water, 1/4 tsp. sea salt.
**Directions:**In a saucepan, combine all ingredients. Bring to a rolling boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer for one hour or until tender. Drain and set aside to cool or serve immediately.
There are approximately 2 1/2 cups per pound.
